It's A Malamute was born from a simple need: when I started looking for reliable, practical information about the Alaskan Malamute, I kept finding content that was thin, generic, or simply recycled from other sources without any real first-hand knowledge behind it.

So I decided to build the resource I wished I'd found: practical guides, written from direct experience, by someone who actually shares daily life with this breed.

The Malamute in question

Everything on this site comes from direct experience with my own Alaskan Malamute. The training articles come from the attempts — successful and otherwise — to build a solid relationship. The health guides come from vet visits, research and conversations with other owners. The product reviews come from actual daily use.

I don't write about things I haven't experienced first-hand. When I do, I say so explicitly.

A bilingual site

All main content is available in both Italian and English. The Italian version is always the "original" — written first, more detailed, more rooted in local context. The English version is a faithful translation, aimed at readers outside Italy or those who simply prefer English.

An important note

This site does not provide veterinary advice. Health information is intended to help you ask better questions of your vet, not to replace professional care. When your dog is unwell, go to the vet.
